Last year, we were approached with the task to design an independent structure with a full temporary roof covering alongside a complete enclosure for AIB works.
There are temporary roofs and then there are “monster” temporary roofs, and we have recently completed one in Central London for of our valued clients. They have AIB and cyclical works to do at Devonshire House, which is over 205m in perimeter. To understand the scope of the project, watch the video below which depicts the early phases of the temporary roof construction.
The AIB team have stated (*to be verified*) that this is currently largest AIB enclosure that they know of, in the United Kingdom.
This has been achieved through close liaison with all relevant parties, e.g., the end Customer, the main contractor, the specialist trades and our partners, Agile Design Consultancy and Hoist & Plant . We carried out this out during the worst of the winter period but still achieved the client’s accelerated programme, which has little flex due to resident engagement & displacement.
